Two more Alabama basketball players have entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Crimson Tide sophomore guard and Huntsville native John Petty, along with redshirt junior forward Daniel Giddens are in the portal, 247Sports has confirmed.
Petty averaged 9.9 points and 33.5 3-point shooting percentage per game, while Giddens contributed 1.9 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. Giddens graduated and would be immediately eligible.
Established in October of last year, the NCAA’s transfer portal now allows student-athletes to merely enter their name into an online database and merely wait for collegiate teams to contact them. It is also worth noting that players can withdraw their name from the portal, too.
Guards Dazon Ingram and Kira Lewis have also entered the transfer portal in recent days.
