“Jazz in the Park” in full swing in Huntsville

Barkley says, “You get to know your community, and I’m kind of new here. So, it’s just a wonderful time. I absolutely love it.”

The sound of jazz is in the air at Big Spring Park, where people in Huntsville came together to listen to live music.

“Jazz in the Park” is a concert series hosting local artists, and talent from all over the state.

We spoke to Peggy Barkley, a Huntsville local who attended “Jazz in the Park” for the third time. Barkley says, “I’m glad I came because this is a family time. Older, younger people are here. They’ve invited the high schools to come and play. You get to know your community, and I’m kind of new here. So, it’s just a wonderful time. I absolutely love it.”

Three acts perform during each concert while attendees enjoy food trucks and games.

Jazz in the Park” is happening every Sunday during the month of September, from 5-9 pm at Big Spring Park, so you have more chances to check it out.

Event officials recommend you bring your lawn chair or a picnic blanket.
