A Huntsville woman was arrested early Tuesday morning for a DUI after she crashed into a Huntsville Police Officer’s vehicle.

According to Police, at 1:56 a.m., a Huntsville Police Officer was stopped at a red light on Jordan Lane, northbound, in the left turn lane to turn west onto University Drive. Kristyn Brisson, 32, was driving eastbound on University Drive, approaching Jordan Lane. Brisson attempted to turn right onto Jordan Lane southbound, but took the turn too wide.

Brisson ran over a median and knocked down two large metal crosswalk signals. She then crossed into the southbound lanes of Jordan, crossed the concrete divider into the northbound lanes, and struck the officer’s vehicle.

Brisson was highly intoxicated and was arrested for DUI. There was a breath test result from Brisson but Police are not releasing it at this time due to the pending DUI in Huntsville Municipal Court.

Neither the officer nor Brisson were injured in the crash.
