Huntsville continues to make its mark on the country. According to a new study, our city ranks among America’s Most Dynamic Urban Centers.
The study analyzed the 150 most-populated cities in the U.S. Huntsville ranked 15th in the small cities category and 80th overall.
Here’s what stood out from the study’s analysis:
- Of the 150 cities analyzed, Huntsville recorded the 5th biggest rise in school enrollment and the 7th biggest increase in the share of residents working in arts and entertainment
- Huntsville also stands out due to the decrease in the share of vacant homes; for this metric, the city takes the 27th place of all the urban centers in the report
- Another two indicators for which Huntsville performs well are the increase in the number of internet subscriptions (31st place) and the drop in unemployment (32nd place)
