Black Friday is a big day to hit the malls and stores, but Thanksgiving is one of the biggest shopping days of the year as well.
Many big retail stores opened their doors tonight to those most dedicated Black Friday shoppers. Hundreds of people waited in line for hours at Target and Best Buy to take advantage of the different deals, but the hot ticket item this year is a TV.
Target and Best Buy didn’t open until 5:00 PM, but people started waiting at the door before 2:00 PM.

People in both the front of the line and in the back say they’re confident they’ll go home with what they came for.
“I’m going to make sure that I get those odds,” said one shopper.
It wasn’t all about competition tonight, though. People who waited in line say it’s become a tradition.
One shopper said, “Usually we start eating at like noon, and by that time, we’re done so at that point it’s like okay, so it’s time for the other exciting part of the day so I feel like it kind of makes the holiday for me.”
