Local veterans looking for jobs networked and learned about career opportunities at a job fair just for them Thursday held at the Von Braun Center. About 200 veterans had the chance to connect with almost fifty different companies about employment.
The goal of the event is to help veterans, service members who are transitioning, and military spouses to find meaningful employment.
“There are national companies with offices from all over the country. Huntsville is such a great defense contracting type of city. A lot of the companies here have offices here“, said Ted Hacker, Co-founder and President of the American Freedom Foundation.
