Dorian left behind a path of destruction as it grazed its way through the Atlantic Ocean, destroying the island of the northern Bahamas. The Major Category 5 Hurricane packed winds sustained at 200+mph and remained stationary over the northern island of the Bahamas, specifically the Grand Bahama Island and Abaco Islands on the Sunday, September 1, 2019.

Utmost destruction was all that was left behind from Dorian, and there are many ways for you to help Dorian’s victims try to pick back up and rebuild their lives. Several organizations are already stationed and helping to restore the impacted areas:

You can donate here to the American Red Cross to aid in recovery and you can donate here specifically to the Bahamas Red Cross where over 200 volunteers are currently serving.

Global Giving‘s disaster relief will go strictly to the Hurricane Dorian survivors aiding in emergency supplies like food, water, medicine, etc. and helping the victims to rebuild and recover for longer term.

The Salvation Army will use 100% of donations for disaster relief.

The Grand Bahama Disaster Relief Foundation has set up a gofundme account where the purpose of the foundation is to provide an organization for relief efforts on Grand Bahama Island to distribute to churches, charities, shelters and communities throughout the island. You can donate here.

We will continue to keep this list updated with ways to donate.
