Thousands of dollars was just raised to help Army soldiers in need.

Raytheon hosted a ‘hole-in-one golf challenge’ where every hole-in-one means $100 donated to Army Emergency Relief. They help Army families who are struggling financially.

Raytheon’s program director says when he was in command a number of his soldiers got help they needed from AER. He says it doesn’t just help the families; it helps the Army’s mission.

“Raytheon is a manufacturer of defense weapons,” said Dan Kirby with Raytheon. “When the soldiers are deployed we make sure that the equipment’s going to work for them, but if they’re worried about their families while they’re out their on their mission it doesn’t work. So you need both of them working together.”
