Drive-thru COVID-19 testing in Huntsville to resume July 27

Testing will be held at John Hunt Park, Pin Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Asbury Church.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Hospital, Thrive Alabama and the city of Huntsville are teaming up again to provide drive-thru testing the week of July 27.

Testing hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until supplies run out. Approximately 300 collection kits will be available each day. Testing will be held at the following locations and dates:

  • July 27, John Hunt Park
  • July 28, John Hunt Park
  • July 29 John Hunt Park
  • July 30, Pin Grove Missionary Baptist Church
  • July 31, Asbury Church

A doctor's order will not be required, but patients should bring a photo ID and their health insurance card. The testing is intended for asymptomatic people who have had recent exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

At John Hunt Park, drivers should enter from Jaycee Way and attendants will direct them to the specimen collection area.
