Financial assistance is available for people looking to go back to school

If you're eligible, you can receive funding based off the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Community colleges are also an option for folks trying to get an education at a more affordable cost amid the Coronavirus outbreak.

People who are looking at switching careers can search for the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). This provides training for eligible adults and displaced workers.

If you're eligible you can receive funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

"If you wanted to go for a certificate at a school or if you wanted to apply for an Associates Degree, you can go to that site and see if you qualify for funding. Your local career centers can help you out with that as well,"says Workforce Development Director, Drake State Community & Technical College, Bob Grissim.
