The Florence Police Department wants motorists to take extra precaution Sunday during the Renaissance City Triathlon.
In a Facebook post, Florence Police said they will not be closing any intersections along the triathlon’s route, but that traffic will be stopped for competitors as they cross intersections.
The Renaissance City Triathlon is set to begin at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, although registration will begin at 5:30 a.m. The event is estimated to last until around noon. For more information on the triathlon, click here.
