On Thursday, there will be dinner and live music at Burritt on the Mountain for the third annual Feelings Are Real Expressions event. It’s put on by Little Orange Fish, and the goal is to raise money to help prevent suicide in North Alabama. Proceeds will go to provide training programs for K-12 teachers on mental health identification and understanding.
Lamont Landers Band, Victoria Jones, and Alan Little will be playing starting at 6PM. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and there will be a cash bar. There will be outdoor heaters set up outside, and indoor seating will be available.
Little Orange Fish was founded to support the premise that every individual can benefit from and deserves access to quality mental health care. The vision is that through research and education, better quality mental health care with a greater continuity of care can be made accessible to all.
