The Boys & Girls Club of North Alabama offers 'The Academy Club'

Organization leaders say the academy offers access to 'basic tools, support, and resources' that children will need to learn.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama's 'The Club Academy' is now accepting students who opted for virtual school but need supervision. The program is scheduled to run through the first nine weeks.

Leaders say there are no limitations to the kids they'll serve. You're encouraged to contact the Cavalry Club for more information on enrollment. The phone number is 256-270-8953.

Students are provided lunch and snack, and class time is from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. After hours start at 2:30 p.m.

"We work completely on the child's individual schedule. And so once a young person logs on, they may have to see their math teacher at 8 o'clock or their science teacher at 9 o'clock. So we don't create the schedule, we work according to the kids individual schedule," says Boys & Girls Club North Alabama President, Patrick Wynn.

The Club Academy is also accepting donations to sponsor a child and cover the cost of enrollment. For more information on how to donate, click here.
