Dr. Margrit von Braun inspires fearlessness at USSRC event

“Whatever our challenges are I know we can meet them and I think going to the moon proved that,” said Dr. Margrit von Braun.

We’re now just days away from the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and the Space and Rocket Center is going big.

On Monday one of their events brought together the children of those involved in Operation Paperclip. The event was called “Continuing the Paperclip Legacy.”

The panelists discussed how they carried on their fathers’ legacies. WZDX News spoke with the daughter of one man we all know about.

“Whatever our challenges are I know we can meet them and I think going to the moon proved that,” said Dr. Margrit von Braun. “It’s still the standard. We still say, ‘If we can put a man on the moon we can do whatever.’ We also need to put a woman on the moon, that’ll help.”

You can catch the next panel discussion like this at the Space and Rocket Center on Wednesday. It’ll be a talk about the on-board control system for a rocket.
