Donations are pouring in to repair an Athens community center, the same one that was vandalized to the tune of $18,000 in damages. Police say it was done by three young boys. Windows were broken and fire extinguishers were used everywhere.
Athens Cars and Bikes on the Square gave $2,000. The Rotary Club kicked in $1,500. The Youth Commission gave $250. They also got private donations.
The money is going toward the insurance deductible and a new security system. Work begins next week.
