UPDATE: Decatur police say that the pedestrian involved in the collision on Tuesday has passed away from his injuries.

Decatur police are looking for the suspect car in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian in the hospital.

Decatur police responded to the scene of a vehicle-vs-pedestrian collision at 14th Street and Wolverine Drive on Feb. 18 at about 2:30 p.m.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, is still receiving treatment for his injuries. According to DPD, he appears to be 20-year-old to 40-year-old Hispanic male with tattoos and facial hair.

Police say the suspect vehicle, which is believed to be a newer-model black sedan, left the scene. The vehicle is believed to have front passenger-side damage, including the passenger-side rear view mirror.
