A multi-car collision in Decatur on Wednesday left one person dead and another person injured.
Decatur Police Department, Decatur Fire & Rescue, and First Response EMS responded to the scene of a three vehicle wreck with multiple injuries. According to their investigation, a 2019 Dodge Challenger, driven by 27-year-old Malloree Teague, was going south on Hwy 67 and lost control by hydroplaning.
The vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit a white Infinity SUV, before being hit in the driver’s door by a white Chevy Silverado in the northbound lanes. Teague was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital’s main campus, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Chevy Silverado was transported by a personal vehicle to Decatur Morgan Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
