HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — On the week of March 1, the Huntsville Police Department conducted two drug busts in which officers recovered cocaine, methamphetamines and more.
HPD said in one bust, agents seized two pounds of methamphetamine, 56 grams of cocaine, two handguns and $9,100 in cash. Police say the estimated street value of the recovered drugs is $96,000.
In this bust, police arrested two Kentucky men, Michael Lamont Bass, 52, and Craig Yolando Montgomery, 44. The two were booked into the Limestone County Jail on drug trafficking charges.
In a second bust, police recovered 950 doses of LSD, 958 grams of marijuana, 175 grams of marijuana wax and 84 grams of marijuana edibles. Additionally, police seized a weapon and $3,561 in cash. Police say the estimated street value of the recovered drugs is $37,000.
HPD said an investigation is still ongoing and future arrests and seizures are expected.
