Local soup kitchen needs coffee!

The Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen feeds hundreds of people here in the Valley every week. The nonprofit recently went to Facebook to ask for ground coffee donations.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Rose of Sharon needs your help! What they need... is coffee!

The soup kitchen mentioned on Facebook that they are in desperate need of coffee; among other things like eggs.

A recent post states: We are in desperate need for coffee and eggs! Thank you in advance and have a blessed day. 

The nonprofit uses coffee every day to serve people here in the Valley with both breakfast and lunch.

They're not picky either, any kind of grounded-up coffee will do!

CEO of The Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen, Theresa Wilson, says that coffee is an important part of every day at the kitchen, "Coffee means family and bonding and relationship - and that's what we stand for, we're a haven of hope in our community."

If you want to help out and donate either ground coffee or eggs, you can drop them off at the soup kitchen located at 723 Arcadia Cir NW, Huntsville, AL 35810.

The best time to drop items off is anytime between 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday. 

They do host a Sunday service and worship as well. Service starts at 9 am and brunch follows. 

The mission of the nonprofit is: Our mission is to show God's love and grace in meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless and underprivileged.
