The Boeing Company and the Boeing Employee Community Fund Board of Alabama are saving countless lives by committing $150,000 to support the American Cancer Society. This unprecedented gift will help fund two major projects.
$100,000 will go to kidney cancer research project in partnership with the American Cancer Society at UAB Hospital.
Another $50,000 will fund and implement a five-county patient Transportation Assistance program within the next year. This program will take those treated to Alliance Cancer Treatment Centers in Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan Counties. Using this contribution, it will be sustained for 12-18 months.
