It’s been just over two weeks since eight people were killed in the massive fire at the Jackson County Park Marina in Scottsboro.
As of Tuesday, February 12th – Jackson County EMA says they have removed all of the boats and docks from the water. Over 35 boats were destroyed in the blaze.
They say they plan to have the final removal of contaminants complete by this Friday, February 14th.
Despite the rain we have been seeing, the EMA says crews did a good job with clean-up and recovery efforts.
