No more masks for fully vaccinated people at Lowe Mill

After the CDC announced that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear masks unless required, local businesses are changing their COVID-19 guidelines.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment has a new masking order in place.

People who are fully vaccinated no longer have to wear a mask inside the building.

This comes after the CDC announced this week that people who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks or social distance in almost all indoor and outdoor settings unless required.

"We're so happy that we've gotten to this point in our vaccination schedule that we got a lot of people vaccinated and we can be out here in public together again. It's so exciting to see more traffic at Lowe Mill and I think it gives us all a little bit of a feeling of confidence to move forward now that we're getting vaccinated," said Suzy Naumann, owner of Suzy's Pops located inside of Lowe Mill.

And if you're looking for something to do outdoors, Lowe Mill has an outdoor market going on every Saturday throughout the summer, weather permitting of course.

In a major step toward returning to pre-pandemic life, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eased mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to stop wearing masks outdoors in crowds and in most indoor settings.

“Today is a great day for America,” President Joe Biden said during a Rose Garden address heralding the new guidance, an event where he and his staff went without masks.
