Madison City Schools extends hybrid learning cycle through winter break

Students will continue to be split into two groups alphabetically by last name.

Madison City Schools has extended its hybrid learning cycle until winter break on December 18 for all school levels.

Students will continue to be split into two groups alphabetically by last name.

Students in group A will attend in-person on Monday and Tuesday and students in group B will attend in-person on Thursday and Friday.

Here is how each school will divide its students:

  • First Class Pre-K
    • Group A - Last names A through L
    • Group B- Last names M through Z
  • Columbia
    • Group A - Last names A through K
    • Group B- Last names L through Z
  • Heritage
    • Group A - Last names A through K
    • Group B - Last names L through Z
  • Horizon
    • Group A - Last names A through K
    • Group B - Last names L through Z
  • Madison
    • Group A - Last names A through K
    • Group B - Last names L through Z
  • Mill Creek
    • Group A - Last names A through L
    • Group B - Last names M through Z
  • Rainbow
    • Group A - Last names A through J
    • Group B - Last names K through Z
  • West Madison
    • Group A - Last names A through K
    • Group B - Last names L through Z
  • Discovery
    • Group A - Last names A through K
    • Group B - Last names L through Z
  • Liberty

Additionally, Bob Jones High School will remain virtual for the remainder of the week due to a boiler issue. The school will return to hybrid on December 7.
