Girl keeps her cool after running into bear on hike

A black bear comes terrifyingly close to a hiker.

SUSSEX, N.J. — What makes the video even more amazing is how the hiker was able to keep her cool and slowly walk away.

The hiker was sitting on a boulder along the Stairway to Heaven Trail in Sussex County, New Jersey, last week when a bear casually strolled by.

Another hiker tells her she should move, but instead of running off, she calmly slips off the rock.

The woman and the group with her then slowly retreat to safety.
