Big changes are coming to WZDX and rocketcitynow.com starting on Sept. 27, 2021. WZDX will rebrand to "FOX54", returning to our roots as the Tennessee Valley's FOX affiliate.
FOX54 became "WZDX" on air and "Rocket City Now" online after it was acquired by Nexstar Broadcasting in July of 2012. In September of 2019, TEGNA purchased WZDX from Nexstar and initiated a rebranding study shortly after. The FOX54 branding will come with new logos, a new web address at FOX54.com, a new page name on Facebook, "FOX54 News Huntsville", and new Twitter and Instagram addresses, both @fox54news.
FOX54 will continue to bring you news at 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The FOX54 News team covers the news, weather, and sports stories that matter to viewers in the Tennessee Valley.
