It’s the first day for the 12 Strays of Christmas this year where we introduce you to a dozen pets from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society who need a home for the holidays.
The first pup is Lulu. She’s a two and a half year-old lab mix who’s a mom dog. Lulu was rescued from DeKalb County about a week ago.
“She was chained up and they were going to shoot her because she has heartworms,” said the GHHS employee. “Because they couldn’t afford the treatment.”
Lulu is definitely a people dog.
“When she’s out, obviously you see she loves the affection! She just loves people and she actually loves other dogs, she doesn’t like being away from other dogs.”
Lulu needs a comfy home where she can give you all her love for the holidays.
