Seab Webster selected to 2017 Division II All-Star Game

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Seab Webster will play one final game in the Blue and White as the senior forward has been selected to play in the 2017 Reese's Division II College All-Star Game as announced by the NABC on Monday.

The contest will be played on Friday, March 24, at 7 p.m. CDT at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division II and five senior at-large selections.

The game will be streamed live on the Sanford Pentagon Facebook page.

Webster is one of three selections from the Gulf South Conference as he will be joined on the East team by Valdosta State's Jeremiah Hill, while Delta State's Devin Schmidt will play on the West team.

The honor for Webster is just another postseason accolade for the Gurley native who earned all-region and all-conference status in addition to being named to the Division II South Regional all-tournament team and being honored as the GSC tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

Webster wrapped up his playing career in the Rocket City with 1,890 points and 731 rebounds, and this season he averaged 18.8 points per game while shooting 41.6 percent from beyond the arc and grabbing 8.0 rebounds per game.

The appearance in the all-star game will mark the second straight season that a Charger has played in the contest after Greg Gardner played in last year's game.
