Students find substitute teacher drunk, passed out

Man charged with being drunk in public

Virginia students arrived to class to find their substitute teacher under the influence of alcohol and passed out at his desk Friday, according to local news station WTVR.

Konbeh Koroma, 24, was supposed to be filling in for an art teacher at Robinson Secondary School when students made the discovery. Police say students tried to wake Koroma up, but a school resource officer was eventually called to assist.

Koroma was arrested and charged with being drunk in public. He was held in an adult detention center over the weekend.
