Neighbors mistake Jack Daniel's flag for ISIS propaganda

Man responds to anonymous note

A Zurich resident faced backlash after his neighbors mistakenly took his Jack Daniel's flag for ISIS propaganda.

Switzerland's The Local reports the 29-year-old man hung the flag next to an Italian flag outside of his apartment, where he moved into two months ago.

Recently, it was brought to his attention that his neighbors were suspicious of him and his possible link to extremism. An alleged anonymous note was left in the man's mailbox that read, "Should we be afraid of you. Are you an IS-sympathizer?"

The man is trying to find the author of the note, saying he's considering taking legal action because of possible "damage to his repuation."
