A retired Marine Colonel dropped his name in the bucket for the Alabama Senate race.

Lee Busby is a former aide to White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and he's officially a write-in candidate for the seat.

Busby is a Republican from Tuscaloosa.  He said he doesn't feel like either candidate represents what the state wants.

"Alabamians are not going to willing choose a Democratic senator to represent them. Some of them are being forced over there because they can not bring themselves in good conscience to cast a vote for Roy Moore," Busby said. .

Busby served 31 years as a Marine Infantry Officer. He's a former investment banker, defense contractor and entrepreneur.
