Early morning fire destroys South Huntsville mobile home

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Huntsville Fire and Rescue crews were called out to an mobile home fire shortly before 5:00 Wednesday morning. 

HFRD Captain Frank McKenzie says the mobile home, at 14096 Memorial Parkway, was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The fire was brought under control and knocked down in about thirty minutes.

There were also reports that an elderly male had lived in the home. Firefighters, however, did not find anyone when they searched the burnt out trailer.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
