Legal issues stall hearing on teenage murder suspects

Legal issues stalled the preliminary hearing today in Limestone County court for two teenage murder suspects.

Jakobe Carter and Arron Jones are the two runaways from the Three Springs Juvenile facility in Madison.

They are accused of killing 61-year-old Van Johnson outside the Publix shopping center on County Line Road.

Jones' attorney has withdrawn because of a conflict of interest.

The preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for September 7th.

Three Springs has come under scrutiny for the security at their facility.

Madison City Council members have addressed this and will continue discussions at their next meeting.
