One in custody for stealing car from Guntersville Dam

Car was taken at gunpoint from two woman

Law enforcement asked for the public's help to find a silver 2002 Nissan Altima that was taken at gunpoint from two women at the Guntersville Dam.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, a man rose up to them on a Kubota RTV, pulled a long gun, and demanded the key to their car.

The vehicle was recovered Friday morning from a rest area along I-59 near Pearl River, LA.

Sheriff's investigators will be charging Michael Elliot Farmer, 33, of Huntsville with Robbery 1st and Theft 1st.

Farmer is currently being held in Covington, LA jail where he is also facing charges there related to the stolen vehicle.

The Kubota RTV900 from the original scene may be stolen as well. This is also being investigated.

More details will be released as the investigation progresses.
