Tennessee Valley road conditions Feb. 18

Several roads have been closed due to icy or snowy conditions making it difficult to drive.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — The latest round of winter weather means dangerous road conditions across the Tennessee Valley. Many areas saw more than 3" of snow.

Snow and ice are no joke. See what happened earlier today in Red Bay.

Colbert County: All roads across the county continue to be covered in snow/ice. Road crews continue to treat areas, but temperatures will remain below freezing much of the day which will not allow roads to thaw

City of Madison reports that the driving conditions on I-565 are extremely hazardous. If possible seek an alternate route or use extreme caution if you have to drive on it.

Lawrence County: All roads impassable per the Lawrence County engineer

City of Huntsville: Bankhead Parkway remains closed. All other previously closed roads have reopened, according to Huntsville police.

This story will be updated as more closures and warnings are reported.
