Rocket City Trash Pandas hold 'World Record Food Drive Attempt' at Toyota Field

The goal for the event is to collect 600,000 pounds of food to beat the current record of 559,885 pounds that was set in 2011.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — The Rocket City Trash Pandas are trying to to break a world record for the "Largest Food Drive in 24 Hours at a Single Location" on Nov. 11 at Toyota Field.

The goal for the event is to collect 600,000 pounds of food to beat the current record of 559,885 pounds that was set in 2011.

The drive will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. A designated drive-thru route will be set up to drop of non-perishable food items. The drop-offs will be contactless. Organizers ask that you place food in the back seat or trunk and let volunteers remove the items from your vehicle.

If you wish to participate in the drive, organizers ask that you enter Toyota Field from the west via Intergraph Road taking a left on Lime Quarry Road and then another left onto Town Madison Boulevard to arrive at the stadium.
