‘Kids to Love’ in need of holiday toys for foster kids: How you can help

This year, Kids to Love is going virtual with an Amazon Wishlist. You can give without even leaving your home, or stop by and drop off some toys!

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Kids to Love makes a big difference in the lives of foster children year round, and especially during the holidays. But, collecting toys can look a bit different this year during the pandemic.

This year, Kids to Love has gone virtual with an Amazon Wishlist where you can give a few toys without even leaving your home.

They're in need games, dolls of all ethnicities and other typical toys. Organizers ask that you also remember to give gifts for teenagers. Hair products and makeup kits, or watches and wallets for young men are a few suggestions.

They’re also in need of clothing.

We met with Lee Marshall, the Founder and CEO of Kids to Love in Madison. She says, “If anybody is out there and they’re seeing good deals on adult-sized blue jeans, or coats or shoes, socks underwear-- those basic items… Those are needed. Because, if we can balance a child's needs with what they want, that’s when we know we served them well this Christmas.”

As an essential business, Kids to Love has been working through the pandemic and even started doing a food drive every Thursday around 10 am.
