Food box giveaways in the Tennessee Valley

Need help with food for yourself or your family? See where you can get free groceries in the Tennessee Valley.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —

OneGenAway at Milton Frank Stadium

When: Saturday, December 10

Where: 9-10:30 a.m.

One Generation Away’s final Mobile Pantry distribution of the year will take place at Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Fresh produce, dry goods, bakery items, and more will be distributed from 9-10:30 a.m. or until all the food has been given out. No registration or paperwork is required to receive food — anyone is welcome to drive through the pantry and receive a full cart load.

Volunteers are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 to help sort and distribute the food.

The food assistance nonprofit OneGenAway has been sharing free groceries with the North Alabama community for several years, and this final 2022 distribution will mark the 16th one in the area this year.

“It has been an honor to serve Alabama families this year and take major steps towards ending hunger in our communities,” said Daelyn Houser, Alabama manager for OneGenAway. “There is still so much work to do, so we hope to see you on the 10th and have you join us in the fight against food insecurity in 2023!”

Families in the Huntsville area won’t have to wait long to visit the Mobile Pantry again, as OneGenAway will visit Milton Frank Stadium once more on Saturday, Jan. 21. For more information, please visit the OneGenAway website
